Dear Members of WBPF,
I was elected as the President of the Thailand Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Association in the month of May 2016 unanimously by members of our Board and with the blessing of Mr. Douglas Latchford.
The father of bodybuilding Datuk Paul Chua, Secretary General and Founder of WBPF and Ms. Christina Y. Kam, Executive Director supported and guided me to take up this challenge to lead my nation for our sport of Bodybuilding and Physique Sports. I wish to thank both of them for their encouragement and support in this direction.
Datuk Paul Chua and Christina Kam initiated the idea that I should organize the WBPF World Championships and Electoral Congress under my leadership since Brazil was unable to host it this year. In consultation with my Executive Council and with their unanimous approval, we decided to host the 8th series of this world event in Pattaya City, Thailand. The main reason is to celebrate His Majesty the King of Thailand birthday which falls on 5th December.
I wish to thank our WBPF President Mr. Mergaliyev Bulat, President of WBPF and the Executive Council of WBPF for having confidence in me and my Council Members for endorsing and sanctioning the 8th WBPF World Bodybuilding and Physique Championships and Electoral Congress in Pattaya City, Thailand. I would also like to thank the Sports Authority of Thailand and National Olympic Committee of Thailand for their support in providing us assistance in many ways in making this international event a success.
We warmly welcome all member countries to Pattaya City, Thailand to enjoy the friendship and hospitality of the Thai people.
